A word from our founder
Cancer has always been a complicated and unpredictable experience. So has the system of care that surrounds it.
It’s a system that tends to fail people at many different places along the journey: in the vulnerability following diagnosis, in the space between visits, and, when the bills come, what it all costs. Advances in early detection and new immunotherapies continue to revolutionize cancer treatment. Clinical teams on the ground push forward at full strength. Still, the cumulative system of care that informs how people experience cancer has not evolved at the same pace.
With Thyme Care, we made a big bet: that by focusing on the parts of the patient experience that too often go unsupported and aligning the incentives of everyone involved in their care, we could build a model that creates better outcomes for all of us — and make it sustainable for everyone. That model, trusted by payers, providers, and the individual at the heart of it all, quickly proved that outcomes-based cancer care works.
Along the way, we never lost sight of the larger challenge ahead of us. And today, it’s clearer than ever that one company, with one approach, tackling just one piece of the puzzle simply isn’t enough.
